Highlighted Volunteer Positions

Participates in monthly committee meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

May accept some additional tasks such as writing and reviewing policies,
reviewing financial decisions, taking the lead on specific actions,
and weighing in on
recommendations to the Board.

Work with UUFHC's spokesperson, Rev. Ward,
to identify avenues of communication within the larger community
to convey our religious values.

This could take the form of coordinating letters to the editor of local
newspapers on various topics,
organizing UUFHC participation at local events of interest to the
congregation and the larger community
(for example, table at Earth Day celebration or entry in 4th of July parades),
or any other ways to work on developing UUFHC's
identity and creating dialogue within our local community.

Participates in monthly committee meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.

Supports Stewardship drive by tracking pledges,
providing weekly updates on status,
and generating statistics (this requires effort from January through April).

Requires confirmation by the Executive Board.

May be a committee member, but not necessarily.

Would have knowledge of health insurance benefits to assist in determining
the best approach to providing health insurance coverage for the Minister.

Would involve participating in a couple of Finance Committee meetings.

Imparts advice and recommendations on alternative approaches to providing
health coverage.

The Co-Chairs are responsible for overall coordination of the event,
which includes setting the theme, advertising the event, arranging for music,
arranging for an auctioneer,
soliciting contributions of services from members and friends,
soliciting support from business sponsors, assembling a catalog,
coordinating activities on the night of the auction and disseminating
information on purchase to donors and buyers after the event.

These responsibilities are typically spread among a number of
volunteers during the time period leading up to,
during and just after the auction.
