Marcie is currently a Member-at-Large on the UUFHC Board.

Marcie has been a member of UUFHC since 2003. This is her first year on the Board and her second year serving as Volunteer Coordinator for the Fellowship. Marcie is also involved in the Religious Education program. She serves on the DRE Relations Committee, and is a teacher for the Pre-K/K RE class. Marcie is also a current member of the Membership Committee.

Marcie first learned of Unitarian Universalism when a former supervisor described her as the "poster child," for the religion. After doing some research and liking what she learned, she looked it up again when she got married and moved to Harford County. "I was initially drawn to UUFHC out of a yearning for an open-minded spiritual community in which to raise my child. I found this and so much more at the Fellowship including good friends and inspiring sermons."

Marcie shares her home and life with her husband and member, Chris, her 4 year old daughter, Isabella, and her six rescued feline friends. Marcie has a Master's Degree in School Counseling and is also a nationally certified counselor. Marcie is a full time mom and works part time as a Family Trainer and Supervisor providing support and guidance to families who are raising children with Autism. Marcie's passions include working with children, vegetarianism, animal rights, and taking good care of the earth.
