The Reverend Lisa G. Ward
Minister of the UUFHC

Rev. Lisa Ward received her Masters in Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. She came to the ministry after having worked free-lance in theatre and film. During her three years at seminary, she was part-time intern at the Unitarian Church of All Souls in New York. Rev. Ward was ordained at All Souls in May of 1992. Rev. Ward then served as District Consulting Minister for the Hollis Unitarian Church for two years. She then became Education Minister at the Community Unitarian Church at White Plains, New York and was called as Associate Minister after one year. Rev. Ward served for three years in White Plains before taking a year's maternity leave.

While at White Plains, Rev. Ward co-founded a periodical, Inward Springs, with editor-in-chief Nancy King Bernstein. Inward Springs is a quarterly periodical designed to support liberal religious adults in the spiritual education of the children in their lives.

After maternity leave, having given birth to her second child, Rev. Ward had the opportunity to serve as Extension Minister of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Harford County. This position began August 1, 1998. She was called to continue on as Parish Minister in 2001. She and her family—husband, Nick, and children, Sarah and Michael—live in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
